We trust that you are finding WCC a place where you are able to worship and connect with God ... and a community that is beginning to feel like home. This page of our website has information you might need to explore connecting with us more deeply as a church family. LIFE GROUPS
Our life groups are moments during the week where we intentionally focus on going deeper in our relationships with one another, pray for one another and the world, worship together and study the Bible in a conversational way. They are also a time to linger over communion and remember the life, death, resurrection, ascension and return of Jesus. They are a group from which mission and social action can happen most easily. They are a place of welcome and often of eating together, sharing stories of faith and adventure. They are a place to laugh and weep together. They are communities of hope.
GIVING
We seek to live generously. This is expressed in so many ways: through eating together, standing with one another in times of need, giving to and supporting mission, prayer, practical help and in the way we use our money.
As a church family we release ministry and share life together through tithes and offerings. We believe that each member of the church should contribute generously and realistically to our shared church family finances.
We also want to give anyone the opportunity to give if they would like to. The first Sunday of each month is our 'tithe sunday' a moment when we can joyfully bring our tithe. We also take regular offerings for specific ministries.
Most of our members set up a standing order for their tithe or use online banking.

LET'S GRAB A COFFEE
If you would like to grab a coffee with someone from our welcome team or leadership team we’d love to spend some time with you. Maybe you have some questions about the church or want to share something of your own journey with us. Maybe you’d like someone to show you around witney or just take the next steps in connecting with the Witney Community Church family? Please email witney@rootsandrivers.uk or ask our welcome team on a Sunday morning and they’d be happy to arrange a time with you.
WELCOME LUNCH
We have regular welcome lunches which are an opportunity to get to meet some of the leadership team and members of the church. A time to ask questions and hear more about the history and vision of our church family. JTF (Joining the family)
JTF is the next level of getting to know one another. We believe that membership is a wonderful thing. It’s a commitment to a depth of relationship that is good for individuals and the church family. On our JTF course you will hear more about our history and have the opportunity to share something of your journey. We take 3 evenings together in a small group to explore our commitment to God, to one another and our vision and values. We host JTF courses once a term and would love to have you join us on the next one.
WHAT WE DO
You can click through this website to read about some of the things we do. But the best way to find out who we are is probably just spending time with us - catching our heart for God and his creation.
We often use the language of journey. We journey together in the adventures God has for us together as a family. As a church. So our expectation and delight is that you joining with us will shape our route, will bring new ways of expressing and enjoying God and will take us further together than we could go on our own.
